Young Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other…

Young Democrats believe that each of us has an obligation to each other, to our neighbors and our communities. Each of us has a role to play in creating our future—and while we have made great progress as a nation, we know that our work is never done. We need to stand together and organize our members to get out and vote and stand up for issues.

For over 200 years, we as Young Democrats recognize that our country and our economy are strongest when they provide opportunity for all Americans—when we grow our country from the bottom up. We stand for an abiding faith in the judgment of hardworking American families, and a commitment to helping the excluded, the disenfranchised and the poor strengthen our nation by earning themselves a piece of the American Dream. We remember that our country was sculpted by immigrants and slaves, their children and grandchildren. Even today, it is our diversity above all else that provides us with our enduring strength. I urge you to get involved.

The Cumberland County Young Democrats are committed to giving young men and women a voice and making a difference in the political process at the federal, state and local levels. We work to encourage the youth of Cumberland County to get involved in making Cumberland County better. Our goals include: electing Democratic Candidates; encouraging youth involvement in the Democratic Party and the community; supporting the ideals of the Democratic Party at all levels of government; instilling in young people the values for which the Democratic Party stands; and providing young people with the skills and experience they will need to lead our nation.
